Tamara Young

My wife's mother Tammy succumbed to breast cancer several years ago when my wife was only 18 months old. Tammy was only in her early 30s when she passed away. I'm riding in her honor. My wife is the last child in her family. I'm thankful that her mother gave birth to her. If Tammy were here today I would tell her this: "Your daughter turned out to be a fine, loving, capable woman, loyal wife, and compassionate mother. I know you are pleased with all the good she has done among her family, friends and associates."

Unlike most of the campaigns you will see for the Great Cycle Challenge, I'm not asking for monetary donations. I'm just requesting that you donate your time. Visit someone affected by childhood cancer, whether the child with the cancer or a friend or relative of that child.

Write a kind note to them. Give a hug or a smile. Spend time visiting them in the hospital.

Your love and service will change little lives and the lives of those around them.
