I knew I’d make it, there was never any doubt! lol. Funny story if anyone ever wants to hear it, just ask about John Jennings.
Today I want to take a moment to honor Cole, a boy from Gateway, right around my neighborhood here in Fort Myers. He fought cancer with so much courage, but sadly his journey ended last week.
Even though I didn’t know Cole or his family personally, his story is close to home, and I want to honor his memory here. He reminds us why awareness and support for childhood cancer matter so much.
❤️
Our fundraiser wrapped up yesterday, and I’m so grateful for all of the love and support you’ve shown.
I want to honor a beautiful little girl named Lucy, whose photo I’m sharing here. Lucy fought cancer with incredible courage, but heartbreakingly, her life was cut short.
Her smile, her strength, and her spirit continue to inspire. Lucy’s story is a reminder of why awareness and support for childhood cancer is so important.
Thank you for standing with me in this cause. ❤️
If you’re able to watch the video you see a pause at about 20 seconds, that’s when I ate it. Lol. I was making a U-Turn, looking for the sidewalk and all I saw was curb, it was either try to jump it or slam my brakes and try to unclip a sneaker, well I decided to slam brakes but I wasn’t able to unclip so I went down! I saw a car changing lanes thinking he was going to stop to help me….nope! Just kept going. lol. It happened right in front of a community so I’m sure they have cameras and are laughing, I was too. Five more days!!!! And I’m sick.
My body is sore, it’s breaking down. I don’t know if I can make it.
What an amazing ride today, perfect weather on the holiday. My body felt great so I just kept on riding and exceeded my daily goal. Really good start with 39 miles in just over three hours. Looking forward to 29 more days!!!!
Next month, I am riding 150 miles in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Because right now, 15,000 children are diagnosed with cancer every year in the United States, and 38 kids die every week.
My challenge will be tough, but it's nothing compared to what these brave kids and their families face every day of their lives as they battle this terrible disease.
Kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it.
Please support my challenge to end childhood cancer and save little lives by making a donation through my fundraising page:
I did not expect to meet my goal on the first day! Let’s keep it going!!!!
