My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.

5% changed our lives forever
4 Sep 2025Kai’s Journey: Our Little Warrior Battling ALL Leukemia
On February 10, 2024, our lives changed forever. What started as an ordinary day quickly turned into the moment that would redefine our family. My wife overheard words on a nurse’s walkie talkie that didn’t make sense at first but hit us like a tidal wave: “K Sarolia 5% abnormality.” That phrase became the doorway into a reality no parent is ever prepared for.
That same day, we learned that our son, Kai, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). By the next morning, Kai had already begun chemotherapy. There was no time to process, no time to ease into this—just an immediate fight for his life.
From day one, Kai has shown us what true strength looks like. He faced every needle, every treatment, and every unknown with more courage than we could ever imagine. While we struggled to wrap our minds around the diagnosis, Kai simply fought. He became the strongest kid we know—our warrior.
The months that followed turned our world upside down. To protect Kai’s fragile immune system, our family entered eight months of isolation. Birthdays, school days, playdates, and so many “normal” moments were put on hold. Isolation didn’t just change Kai’s life—it changed ours, too. But through it all, Kai kept his spirit. He reminded us daily that life, even under the hardest circumstances, is still worth smiling about.
Kai is the epitome of a warrior. His resilience, his courage, and his ability to fight through the unimaginable inspire us every single day. This journey has not been easy, but it has shown us how strong one little boy can be, and how much love and determination can carry a family through.
