I'm Riding For
Childhood Classmate (1964)

My story originates at Oak Street Elementary School, in Inglewood, CA Around 1964, I remember a childhood classmate in 2nd grade. I was only seven years of age at time, but it was my first experience with cancer. I have forgotten his name. He was Filipino and we would say hello to one another on our walks home after school. He quietly left this Earth around 1966, with Leukemia. I am doing this ride for him and thinking good thoughts of his heavenly home.

My goal is to ride a minimum of 250 miles during September of 2025. I will be pedaling without any power assist, a Trek Checkpoint SL5.
I am part of the Stony Brook Emergency cycle crew team (Long Island, NY). We originate and ride from points all over America. My mileage and routes will be tracked and verified by Strava App.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to support Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve. A donation of $10 or more is all I am asking.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
