  “Please ride for Emilisse Pokornik (age 14), was recently diagnosed with Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumors (PNETs), which came not even a year after she had a cancerous tumor removed, along with one of her ovaries. The process to diagnose her cancer took some time, and she was referred for treatment at UCLA. To say this cancer flipped our neighbor's family’s world upside down is an understatement. Emilisse will be undergoing approximately 9 months of treatment (inpatient and outpatient) to kick her illness. Emilisse was dying to go to high school in the fall, and is devastated she will not be able to attend. (Mark and Kris Brueggen’s granddaughter)”
