Hello, friends. Again this September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds to fight kids' cancer.

Currently, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. More than 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. Unfortunately, Congress and the Trump administration have made very drastic cuts in childhood cancer research that will negatively impact thousands of children and their families into the future.

Twenty-four years ago when our 13-year old daughter Kathleen was being treated for cancer at Children’s Hospital in Seattle, we met many families with children who were being treated for cancer. Many kids survived, but many did not. It was heartbreaking.

I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments. Funds from the organization support research at Childrens in Seattle.
