I'm Riding For
Nana
My Nana was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer a couple of years ago. Thankfully after treatment she is much better and almost completely recovered, but this close connection with someone who has fought cancer has left me wanting to support that many people (especially kids) who are fighting cancer.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

23 Aug 2025Yay! I've signed up and rearing to get back to taking part in the GCC for the second time!
This year I am not only riding in memory of Mr. Nyssen, whose early death had a big impact on me, and Ella, whose sweet personality and loving nature impressed me and made me grieved never to have been able to know her, but also for my Nana who since has been a survivor of lymphatic cancer.
