I'm Riding For
Lucy
Lucy is my youngest daughter and she battled and defeated a softball-sized tumor on her kidney when she was only 15 months old. Her smiles got us through some hard days even while she was the one in the hospital bed connected to tubes and wires. Her strength and perseverance inspire me, and I am so blessed to see her smiling face every morning.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because my daughter, Lucy, was diagnosed with a Wilm's tumor on her kidney in November 2022 when she was 15 months old. After surgery to remove the softball-sized tumor along with her left kidney and 6 months of chemo, I am happy to say that she is now cancer-free.
But what about the children with diseases that pharmaceutical companies are not willing to research because it doesn't help their bottom line? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
