Esther Delgado

Memorial written by Ethan's Dad: Ethan was born on Oct 18, 2002 and passed away on April 27, 2021. He is survived by his two brothers, Tanner, and Evan. Ethan was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma tumor on his brain, approx. 6 cm x 4 cm. He lived a perfectly normal life right up until his diagnosis. After his surgery, Ethan suffered from aphasia and had to learn how to speak and walk again. Through tremendous effort, Ethan was talking and walking again and we were offered a clinical trial that we were hopeful would save Ethan's life. Unfortunately, there is no cure for glioblastoma, and chemo and radiation are not useful against this particular tumor. The expectation is 12-20 months. Unfortunately, the trial did not work for Ethan. He passed away about 12 months after his diagnosis. Ethan was always happy and spread joy everywhere he went. His diagnosis did not change this. Ethan loved spending time with his friends, driving his car, and spending time with his family. Ethan was working on his Eagle scout badge when he got sick, and unfortunately was never able to complete that goal. Ethan loved camping and spending time with the scouts.

This September, Judy and I are taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

This my 5th year and Judy's 1st year participating in this worthy cause and hope you will join us with your support. For those of you that supported me for the past years, thank you, and I hope you can do so again this year.

We are riding to support research to fight children's cancer. We have all been impacted by cancer. I have had a loved one taken too soon due to this illness. Unfortunately, cancer continues to be one of the biggest killers of children in the United States.

This year we are riding in the memory of Ethan Thomas who, unfortunately. passed away due to Glioblastoma cancer. Please read the enclosed memorial written by Ethan's Dad, Todd.
