I'm Riding For
Rick Bonasch
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
I am also riding in memory of my father, Rick Bonasch. My dad’s battle with cancer was short and intense. The time from his diagnosis to his death was less than a year. In that same span of time, I also became a father. Becoming a father and losing your father in the same year makes you see the world differently, and quickly. I hope to one day be the father to my boys that my dad was to me. That begins with creating space and time for things like the Great Cycle Challenge to show and harness the power of community for positive change, something my dad believed in more than almost anything else in his life.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
