I'm Riding For
Ignacio Chavez

Ignacio was a hardworking, family oriented man and one of my biggest role models growing up. He had been through so many hard times with cancer originally breast and beat it. Unfortunately over the course of a few years ago he tragically was diagnosed with lung cancer that traveled to his lymph nodes and brain. He passed away in January 2024 with a beacon and fire that still leaves a lasting legacy in the community. I'm proud to be a Chavez because of him and I'm proud to be in his familia. This September, I ride in memory of my Grandpa because of all the memories I had of him teaching me how to ride a bike when I was growing up that hopefully one day soon we will find a cure to end children cancer so every child can make those same memories that I cherish with my Grandpa in my heart.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
