Macarena Guerrero
This year, my daughter Macarena started her sophomore year at USF. Words can’t express how grateful I am to see her healthy and thriving, especially knowing where her journey began, when she was diagnosed with cancer at just 4 years old. Today, she’s a beautiful, strong, and determined young woman with a big dream: become a doctor to help others the same way she was once helped. I couldn’t be more proud of everything she’s accomplished, both personally and academically. In the 15 years since her diagnosis, research has come a long way in treating her rare form of cancer, but there’s still more to be done. Too many children are still waiting for better treatments, better outcomes, and hope. That’s why I’m asking for your support. Please consider making a donation to help kids like Macarena not only survive, but live long, healthy lives and go on to change the world.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
