This September, I am taking part in my seventh Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Every day I see new posts on the GCC page of children getting diagnosed with cancer, going through many surgeries, starting their treatment, and posts of children who have lost their fight.

Every year I choose a team to ride for whose story reaches out to me. While all are fighters, I have chosen this year to ride for Team Lila. Lila had a stroke before she was born, is non-verbal and is only fed through a g-tube. She was also diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, dystonia, scoliosis and more. Now she has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Chemo caused her to decline, and so she so she is currently undergoing immunotherapy treatment.

If this doesn’t work, Lila will be out of options.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
