My Story

This September, I am taking part in my THIRD Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because I ❤️ to ride AND kids should be LIVING life, NOT fighting for it. Now that I am retired I can ride farther to help raise money to battle kid's cancer, which in turn, will help adult cancer research too.

Did you know that only 4% of all cancer research is focused on pediatric cancers - it’s heartbreaking. And sadly, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year.

I've been through dark seasons of life and I cannot imagine a child and their family needing to go through one because of a cancer diagnosis. So, I am raising funds, through my passion of bike riding, to support the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Money will be used to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer. If you have even just $10 to help I would appreciate your support.

I knew this was a big goal to set - to ride 500 miles. Yet I knew I could do it by the grace of God, because I am healthy and could even when I was tired, unlike the kids I was riding for.
