My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
George

A few miles adds up
23 Sep 2025As cyclist and those of us into cycling not just for our health but for our environment and the enjoyment of cycling, I had a friend ask me “why do you cycle almost every day?”
I smiled and told them, “it’s fun! Honestly because you have to be aware of everything and you have to learn how to navigate. You are literally closer to nature too because you are able to hear everything going on too. Too mean, it releases dopamine which is that feel good chemical in the brain which makes you feel like you’re alive. Yeah it maybe ten miles here, twenty miles there, or as little as six miles to the store, a little goes a long way.”
So, I wanted to share that with all the riders. Don’t get caught up in the whole 800 or more miles needs to be completed, I gotta do this, I have to do long rides, etc. Remember that a few miles goes a long way. Like the old saying about an apple a day or pennies makes dollars.
Take it a few miles at a time and ride to ride. Be proud of where you are and remember that you will add up those miles and you will see the results. Get a long ride in when it’s do-able but take it a few miles a day.

Want a challenge?
19 Sep 2025Today I tried out something new that my fitness coach threw out. He had me cycle today while wearing a hot suit. Unlike traditional sauna suits, this one was heavy and had neoprene inside it coated with rubber.
Let me just tell you! Ever want to just feel like you’re on fire and don’t want to stop because of the competition? Give it a try! I immediately knew this training session wasn’t going to be easy but neither is our fight to find a cure for cancer! So, I dawned the suit, jumped on the bike, and got after it!
12 miles in and I was sweating rivers but I smiled because now the challenge has started but also, now I know I’m going to accept this fight because the ones we cycle for are in a different fight and that’s a winner takes all kind.
So let’s help them win!
