A Family Friend

Did you know that kids' cancers don't only impact kids? We have a friend in her 20s who was diagnosed with a cancer normally seen in children. Despite her age, she is being treated by the wonderful people at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis because that's where the expertise is for the cancer that is attacking her. Will you do your part to help the Children's Cancer Research Fund support cancer research, help children and families currently fighting cancer and educate the world about what we can do to create a world without childhood cancer? My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

This year we have contributed more than $1,100 to fight children's cancer. That's awesome! Countrywide riders have raised nearly $7 million!!

I missed two weeks of riding this month while we were traveling, but we're back home and I'll keep putting in as many miles as I can before the end of the month (my commitment was 250 miles and I've ridden more than 330 so far). Together, let's do all that we can to stop the tragedy of cancer afflicting children and their families. Thanks again for your support for this important cause!
