I'm Riding For
Douglas Clare
My dad was a modest man and a good father. His life was ended eventually by cancer, as tough as he was. Although his lifestyle probably contributed to his health's descent, he lived it with gusto and was a very hard worker. His quick wit and dry sense of humor entertained me and uncountable others. He instilled in me humility, good morals and could communicate much with a facial expression and well timed silence. Dad, these miles are for you.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.

Final Day of the GCC
30 Sep 2025First, I and the kids are humbled and very appreciative for you donors and your donations, most of you being repeat contributors. You really came through again and are considered heroes in our eyes!
I'm trying to get out and tack a few more miles on today. Our weather has been amazing lately and I want to ride everyday I can, until it ends, but especially today, as my gesture of gratitude to all of you. BTW, FYI, Donations will continue to be excepted through October, if you know someone whom may be inclined to help out.
Please be in prayer for the kids, this organization, medical caregivers and scientists trying to find cures and successful aids to minimize and even erase the suffering being endured by these little ones. It's heart wrenching to imagine, or know what they are going through. Thank you! And thank you again!!
Sincerely,
Doug
