Hello, my name is Dan, and I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I've been passionate about riding my bike since I was a kid, and it has always been a significant part of my life. Just this month (July), I biked 200 miles to prepare for the upcoming Great Cycle Challenge in September. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it again for a cause that inspired me.

Participating in the Great Cycle Challenge is not just about pushing my own limits; it's about making a difference in the lives of children fighting cancer. Kids deserve to live cancer-free and experience the simple joys of riding a bike, just like I did when I was young.

As I take on this challenge, I am reminded of the sobering reality that cancer is the leading cause of death from disease among children in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and tragically, 38 children lose their lives to this devastating disease every week. It breaks my heart to think about the pain and struggle these kids and their families endure.

But together, we can make a difference. By raising funds through this cycling challenge, I aim to support the Children's Cancer Research Fund in their mission to develop lifesaving treatments and ultimately find a cure for childhood cancer. The work they do is essential in giving these brave young souls a fighting chance at a brighter future.
