When he was diagnosed with cancer, my dad said "As much as I'd like to be the first guy who is cured of lung cancer, I know that's not going to happen. But, maybe if I participate in research, it will help someone else." I learned more from him in that moment than perhaps any other. And, so I ride to honor him and the ways he tried to support cancer research in his final year. Plus, gruff old guy that he tried to be, he *really* loved little kids. So, he'd be all in for this challenge. This year, in addition to my dad, I'm riding for a couple of friends who are battling cancer. My hats off to all of you. Stay strong!

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
