My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to raise money to support Pediatric Cancer research, a cause that is deeply personal to me. Over the years, I have cared for many courageous children and families facing this devastating disease and I ride in their honor. Every mile I pedal is a tribute to their courage, their battles, and their hope for a brighter tomorrow.

In the United States, approximately 15,700 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. Tragically, cancer still claims the lives of nearly 1600 children and adolescents annually, 30 lives lost every week. It is the leading cause of death by disease among children and too many are forced to trade childhood adventures and schooldays for chemotherapy and hospital visits. That is why I have set a goal to ride 100 miles this September and raise $1500.00 to support the Children's Cancer Research Fund in their quest to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
